How to integrate Currents in automation workflow?

3 simple steps to make your Currents connected with other apps in automation workflows on WEXTL. Up to 10 minutes integration set up.

How Currents connects and integrates with WEXTL

Save and approve your credentials once — WEXTL® stores authorization information encrypted and reuses the authentication whenever Currents app is called in workflows. That allows your developer tools automations to run without your attention, per defined schedule [7]. Explore documentation [6] for a detailed list of fields that Currents supports.

The following table illustrates what fields Currents integration require during authorization flow inside our workflow builder [4].

API KeyRequired
password

In the dashboard go to Organization → API Keys, click Create API Key, set a label, choose the permission level, and copy the key — it is shown only once. Choose Read & Write if this connection will create Jira issues, manage actions, cancel or delete runs, or run the Watch Events trigger; Read Only is enough for the read modules.

Connect Currents to popular apps on WEXTL

Enter a name of the other app you want to sync with Currents below. Click on selected app to explore integration options with Currents. If the app you search for is not available in WEXTL yet, you can use HTTP node [10] instead to integrate it directly.

Example automation with Currents integration

Select Watch Events trigger from Currents - this will be a starting point in your automation. Whenever event happens in Currents, workflow will start [7] from Watch Events node.

Search for Create Action, connect it as the next step of integration sequence. You can use filters between Watch Events and Create Action, so only important data pass from Watch Events to the next step. WEXTL gives you full control over the process of Currents automation. All parts of workflow are visible on the canvas [4].

Currents on WEXTL has 39 modules for creating developer tools automations. Explore Currents documentation for more.
