How to integrate Interact in automation workflow?

3 simple steps to make your Interact connected with other apps in automation workflows on WEXTL. Up to 10 minutes integration set up.

How Interact connects and integrates with WEXTL

Save and approve your credentials once — WEXTL® stores authorization information encrypted and reuses the authentication whenever Interact app is called in workflows. That allows your productivity automations to run without your attention, per defined schedule [7]. Explore documentation [6] for a detailed list of fields that Interact supports.

The following table illustrates what fields Interact integration require during authorization flow inside our workflow builder [4].

FieldTypeHelp
Intranet URLRequired
url

Log into your account and copy the address of your intranet from the browser address bar, without any path or trailing slash. For example, https://example.interactgo.com

Person IDRequired
text

Open your profile in Interact and check the browser URL. The numeric value in the address is your Person ID.

API KeyRequired
text

Log into Interact, go to Control Panel > Security > API Keys and create a new API key.

Secret KeyRequired
password

When creating the API key, Interact generates the corresponding API secret alongside it. Copy it and store it securely.

Connect Interact to popular apps on WEXTL

Enter a name of the other app you want to sync with Interact below. Click on selected app to explore integration options with Interact. If the app you search for is not available in WEXTL yet, you can use HTTP node [10] instead to integrate it directly.

Example automation with Interact integration

Select Watch Calendar Events trigger from Interact - this will be a starting point in your automation. Whenever event happens in Interact, workflow will start [7] from Watch Calendar Events node.

Search for Create an Event, connect it as the next step of integration sequence. You can use filters between Watch Calendar Events and Create an Event, so only important data pass from Watch Calendar Events to the next step. WEXTL gives you full control over the process of Interact automation. All parts of workflow are visible on the canvas [4].

Interact on WEXTL has 60 modules for building productivity automations. Explore Interact documentation for more.
