How to integrate Twitch in automation workflow?

3 simple steps to make your Twitch connected with other apps in automation workflows on WEXTL. Up to 10 minutes integration set up.

How Twitch connects and integrates with WEXTL

Save and approve your credentials once — WEXTL® stores authorization information encrypted and reuses the authentication whenever Twitch app is called in workflows. That allows your social media automations to run without your attention, per defined schedule [7]. Explore documentation [6] for a detailed list of fields that Twitch supports.

The following table illustrates what fields Twitch integration require during authorization flow inside our workflow builder [4].

Demonstration of Twitch connection step inside WEXTL Workflow Builder [4].

FieldTypeHelp
Client IDRequired
text

Create an application in the Developer Console and copy its Client ID. Set the OAuth Redirect URL to https://wextl.com/api/oauth/app/callback. This signs in as a Twitch user.

Client SecretRequired
password

Generate a Client Secret for the same Twitch application and paste it here. Twitch shows a new secret only when you create it.

Connect Twitch to popular apps on WEXTL

Enter a name of the other app you want to sync with Twitch below. Click on selected app to explore integration options with Twitch. If the app you search for is not available in WEXTL yet, you can use HTTP node [10] instead to integrate it directly.

Example automation with Twitch integration

Select Check User Subscription action from Twitch - this will be a starting point in your automation. Whenever event happens in Twitch, workflow will start [7] from Check User Subscription node.

Search for Add Suspicious Status to Chat User, connect it as the next step of integration sequence. You can use filters between Check User Subscription and Add Suspicious Status to Chat User, so only important data pass from Check User Subscription to the next step. WEXTL gives you full control over the process of Twitch automation. All parts of workflow are visible on the canvas [4].

Twitch on WEXTL has 131 modules for creating social media automations. Explore Twitch documentation for more.
